Abacus Plumbing Expert Sam explains how deep fried turkey grease can cause a lot of plumbing problems over the holidays:

"Hi I'm Sam with Abacus and a lot of people love to deep fry turkey for Thanksgiving and what I want to talk to you about today is the grease that goes down the drain if you put it down there so this right here seems like it's okay to go down your drain water will wash it down just fine but what I want to talk to you about is after it goes down your drain and it sits in there for a while it just solidifies like this and if you do put that down your drain we're going to have to come out and we're going to have to run a jedar down your kitchen drain basically what it is it's like a it's like pressure washing the inside of your line goes up to 4,000 PSIs and it'll get it all cleaned up for you what we definitely want to do is dispose of it properly and keep it out of our drain system"
