The LED lighting for HOA communities is essential for safety and to deter vandalism. LED bulbs run for years and years without burnout, ensuring consistent, safe lighting in all functions, from outdoor LED lighting to LED tennis court lighting, and even LED landscape lighting for homeowners associations.
Manufacturers now offer a wide range of solutions which will not only save you only but help create the perfect light for every room in your house, place of work, retail outlet or leisure venue.
During the lifetime of a lighting installation, there is a decline of light on the work surface due to pollution and aging of the installation and room >surfaces. In order to factor in this decline, the so-called maintenance factor (also referred to as depreciation factor) was created.
For LED lighting there are few studies for the determination of the correct maintenance factor and therefore no market consensus. As a result, the same maintenance factor is often used as that of fluorescent lighting, which over time can have a negative impact on your LED installation since the useful service life does play a crucial role here. With all lighting designs, it is important to understand the maintenance regime.
This ensures that the lighting design provided will achieve the target lighting levels at the end of the determined maintenance program for a particular project. Whether the maintenance program has been defined by a specification or not, it is up to the lighting designer to provide details of the maintenance cycle used within their lighting design.
The maintenance factor is defined as the ratio of illuminance produced by a lighting system after a certain period of time to the illuminance produced by the system when new. This period of time is often the lifetime of the light source, particularly with regards to LED. A lighting installation should be designed with an overall maintenance factor (MF) calculated for the selected lighting equipment, environment, and specified maintenance schedule.
(Light Emitting Diodes) are the latest and most exciting technological advancement in the lighting industry. LEDs are small, solid light bulbs which are extremely energy-efficient and long lasting. LEDs operate differently than traditional incandescent light bulbs. This makes LEDs far more rugged and durable than traditional incandescent light bulbs. LED technology also offers many additional advantages over incandescent, neon and compact fluorescent lighting devices – such as exceptionally longer life span.
